Join with us as we gather with friends ‘Under the Tree’ for the gentle medicine that comes with being immersed in both nature and the life-giving words of Scripture.
Under the Tree is a 90 minute outdoor experience facilitated by Bible Society Ireland (BSI) and the Church’s Ministry of Healing: Ireland (CMH:I). Originally planned as a six-week Lenten course in 2023, UtT has sprouted into regular gatherings where we have an opportunity to interactively connect with a passage of Scripture in the outdoors, often around a fire. We gather in all-seasons and all-weathers, and so come prepared with hot drinks, hot water bottles, blankets and often delicious treats made by Lydia.
Meet the Facilitators
Julie leads the work of the Bible Society here in the Republic of Ireland, and is passionate about the life-giving beauty and poetic richness which comes from a sustained encounter with Biblical text.
Lydia is a trained Forest School Leader and formerly involved in Children’s Ministry development. In addition to her many gifting she leads the work of the Church’s Ministry for Healing (CMH:I) along with her wonderful colleague Catherine Smith – see here for more details.
